Late on Tuesday, industry group the American Petroleum Institute said that U.S. crude inventories drew down by 11.0 mil bbls last week, with stockpiles at the Cushing, Oklahoma hub lower by 448,000 mil bbls. 

The head of the United States Central Command, General Kenneth McKenzie said on Tuesday that a second Iranian may have been shot down over the Strait of Hormuz last week. "We are confident we brought down one drone, we may have brought down a second," McKenzie told journalists. "This was a defensive action by the USS Boxer in response to aggressive interactions by two Iranian UAS platforms in international waters," Lieutenant Colonel Earl Brown, a U.S. Central Command spokesman, said earlier on Tuesday. 

Britain is gaining support from European countries on its plan for a European-led naval mission to ensure safe shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, proposed after Iran's seizure of a British-flagged tanker. France , Italy and Denmark  are said to have given their initial support for the plan.
