Industry group the American Petroleum Institute said that U.S. crude inventories drew down by 6 mil bbls last week, with stockpiles at the Cushing, Oklahoma hub lower by 1.4 mil bbls.

In OPEC producer Libya, the country’s largest oilfield El Sharara was reported on Tuesday to be shutting down, due to an issue with a valve on the pipeline linking it to the Zawiya export terminal. The oilfield, which can produce 290,000 bpd, was also closed earlier in July after an unknown group blocked a valve on the pipeline to Zawiya.

Iran’s oil exports in July are estimated to have plunged to as low as 100,000 bpd, Reuters reported on Tuesday citing an industry source and shipping data.
