The Corporate Sustainability Report
has been prepared to align with the organization’s annual financial report. The purpose of the Report is to provide reliable and quality information regarding PTT’s policy, management approach and performance in economic, environmental and social dimensions. In-depth information on the organization’s financial management is disclosed in PTT’s Financial Report, while information related to governance and performance of the Board of Directors is presented in the Annual Report, published on a yearly basis. information disclosure. PTT has published its Corporate Sustainability Report annually since 2008. The Report was initially developed in compliance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)’s Sustainable Reporting Guidelines Version 3, which aimed to disclose PTT’s responses to challenges impacting the organization’s business operations and its stakeholders, of which include local communities, non-governmental organizations, shareholders, investors, customers, partners, suppliers, contractors, employees, the government sector, media, and academia.
The 2015 Sustainability Report has been prepared according to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)’s Sustainability Guidelines and Oil and Gas Sector Disclosures (OGSD), Version 4, at the “In Accordance Core” Level to ensure more relevant disclosure for the industry. This report also contains the Communication on Progress of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)’s 10 Principles, which cover areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
During the past year, PTT undertook an initial study of the Integrated Reporting Framework <IR>’s methodology as an approach to disclosing future organizational performance and more clearly demonstrate the relationship between sustainability performance and business value.
PTT also carried out a preliminary evaluation of its performance according to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Results from the aforementioned studies are both detailed in the 2015 Sustainability Report.
Stakeholders were identified at both corporate and business unit levels. PTT has established engagement channels and mechanisms to respond to and maintain relationships with the organization’s stakeholders at various levels, including recommendations from investors, corporate reputation survey, review of stakeholder relations, website visitors, etc.
Finally, the PTT Group Sustainability Alignment Committee reviews and approves information disclosure in the Report. External parties were engaged to review accuracy, transparency and credibility of the Report for the 5th consecutive year.
