Corporate Citizenship
As a national oil company, PTT understands the importance of and is fully committed to the mission to ensure energy security while also driving society forward through organizational mechanisms at the policy and operational levels, to provide support in terms of human capital development, social and community development, as well as environmental protection and rehabilitation. All of this is done for the long-term sustainable development of the Thai society.
 
PTT’s social and community investment strategy corresponds to the organization’s business strategy, its organizational budget, and the community’s needs. PTT approaches community engagement through social relations in order to understand the differing context and specific needs of each community. Employees are encouraged to participate in volunteer projects for public benefit through PTT’s Thai Energy for Public Mind Club and various other community development and environmental activities, which will enable employees to adopt and reflect PTT’s values of corporate citizenship and civic-mindedness.
 
To ensure long-term benefits to local communities and to society, PTT considers various factors of community and social development. The particular context and needs of each community, projects that have proven successful in the past, community’s unique needs, risks associated with social activities, and capacity of the community and the organization are all taken into account. Firm focus on stakeholder engagement with the community is highlighted in every step of the process under the supervision of the Corporate Governance Committee and Corporate Communications Department as the main responsible department.

​Survey stakeholder opinions on performance of social, community, and environmental activities, and analyse results to determine success of projects.
Conducted opinion surveys and stakeholder engagement according to the social relations approach, and analysed performance results at the corporate and operational level in communities surrounding operations. ​Continue to conduct stakeholder engagements and opinion surveys.
