In the early existence of Petroleum Authority of Thailand (PTT), the logo to symbolize our small state enterprise was merely its three abbreviation letters “PTT” of “Por Tor Tor” in Thai. Later on, Dr. Tongchat Hongladaromp, former PTT Governor, assigned the Public Relations’ art team to design the company logo which must have a beautiful artistic look and commercial essence.
Mid-year 1980 Mr. Rayong Yimsa -Ard, a PTT staff, created out more than 30 logo designs which Dr.Tongchat had helped in selecting and commenting until the best one was chosen. In 1981, under the directorship of General Prem Tinsulanonda, PTT logo was applied for trademark registration with the Ministry of Commerce. Therefore, today, we see an outstanding color design and a meaningful corporate identity shown on various Medias. |

| PTT logo is created from the inspiration of the discovery of petroleum, the invaluable resource of Thailand, which has enhanced the imagination of the form of fire torch of which the glorious prosperity is symbolized. The outer lively blue color represents the flame originated from the natural gas surrounding the darker blue drop, the combination of the energy, and the power represented by the red color inside. |
