• High Density Polyethylene (HDPE): it is resistant to impact, chemical and low temperature. The finish products are basket for fish, fruit and vegetable, bin, straw, palate, cable, and pool liner, etc.

Producers of HDPE in PTT Group are PTTCH and IRPC.

• Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE): It has high elasticity and is resistant to tear so it is normally used to make a film such as food wrap, shrink wrap and sack. Other finish products are heavy duty bin, liner, diaper outer layer, toys, and cable, etc.

Producer of LDPE in PTT Group is PTTPE.

• Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE): It is better resistant to shear, tear and impact than LDPE so it is normally used to make a pressure resistant bag and container such as ice bag, rice sack, mail sack, heavy duty bin, and cable, etc.

• Polyvinylchloride (PVC) : It is the most popular plastic used.   The finish products are pipe and drainage, roof and floor tile, plastic sheet, cable, shower curtain, synthetic leather, and car furniture, etc.

• Polypropylene (PP): It is resistant to scratch, chemical, and heat so it is normally used to make boxes, toys, fertilizer sack, yarn, carpet and under layer, water proof blanket, rope, wrapping tape, hot bag, drinking bottle, snack pouch, pipe, cable, paper laminate, adhesive, and car parts.

Producers of PP in PTT Group are HMC and IRPC.

• Acrylonitril-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS): It has strength and impact resistance. It also comes in clear and transparency. It is used in transportation and house ware sector. It is normally use as case and cover of appliances such as refrigerator, sewing machine, computer, television, radio and telephone. It is also used in making construction pipe and elbow, packaging, furniture, suitcase, boat and mobile home.

Producer of ABS in PTT Group is IRPC.

• Polystyrene (PS): It is hard but brittle, resistant to tension and both acid and base. It is a non-conductor and low moisture absorber but easy to mold in shape. It is normally used to make bin, bottle, clear food container, toys, television case, refrigerator parts, car parts, and impact resistant foam.

• Expanded Polystyrene (EPS): It is normally used to make container foam for fragile goods.
