PTT & Microsoft Empower Businesses with Technology to Enhance Thai Digital Economy to Long-lastingly Overcome the Crisis

   For 5 years, PTT aims to use Microsoft cloud services including infrastructure information to innovate technology that creates new business models and enhances personnel skills. We will also study opportunities to establish AI Learning Center for the sustainability of the country.  
 
   Mr. Auttapol Rerkpiboon, President and Chief Executive Officer, PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) disclosed after the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation on the Study and Development of Cloud and Digital Innovation to drive enterprise and national businesses" between PTT and Microsoft (Thailand) Co., Ltd., it is now a very challenging time for the country to adapt to the ongoing changes.  As strengthening business with technology and innovation along with business development is an important factor that will drive the country, PTT has therefore partnered with Microsoft, the world's leader in cloud technology and digital who has a mission that is consistent with PTT in using technology to improve the quality of life for society. 
 
   "This partnership will be the starting point for ecosystem development for organizations, society and Thailand. To pursue the technology that appropriately meets business needs and manages challenges, PTT finds that 'Cloud' is an important technology to keep everything connected and will strengthen the business to grow to succeed more efficiently and safely. Under this 5-year partnership (from 2020-2025), PTT will use Microsoft cloud services, system infrastructure, innovation to create technology for a new business model. This will enhance digital skills and create a learning culture for employees through PTT's projects and learning centers. There will be a study of the opportunity to establish AI Learning Center at Wang Chan Valley, Rayong province. At the same, time, to realize the country’s sustainability, there will be joint study and development of opportunities for further social work to vigorously promote PTT and Thailand's digital technology." 

   Mr. Dhanawat Suthumpun, Managing Director, Microsoft (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said the partnership is a great opportunity for Microsoft to work with Thailand's leading organization - PTT- to bring cloud and digital innovation for further development so as to benefit at both organizational and national levels. In addition, this is a chance to deploy cloud platforms Microsoft Azure meeting international standards in terms of performance and security to serve as the foundation for developing the potential both inside and outside the organization. Microsoft is also ready to provide support for personnel skills development with a full range of content and courses, including AI Business School for executives, Microsoft Learn for individuals and professional developers and Microsoft Imagine Academy for youth and academic staff. Furthermore, this partnership will help to realize the PTT’s concept of Powering Thailand's Transformation of PTT to be more successful.
