Mr. Wuttikorn Stithit, Senior Executive Vice President, Natural Gas Business Unit, PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) revealed that due to the effect of COVID-19 pandemic this year, the company has decided to help shoulder the burden of the people. Therefore, it will extend the discount of NGVs for public for another month until August 31, 2020. NGV discount card holders can purchase NGV at Baht 13.62 per kilogram (excluding local tax). In Bangkok, the sales price will increase according to the distance of transportation of gas. PTT has offered assistance for transport operators through NGV discounts since 2012. This reduces the fuel costs of public vehicles nationwide and lower the cost of living for people.
"NGV is a clean, environmentally friendly and safe alternative energy. Nevertheless, car users should maintain their cars by regularly checking equipment and NGV tanks for the safety of users and travel companions," Mr. Wuttikorn added.
