PTT - GC – GCME Revolutionize Thai industry by Developing and Commercializing High-performance Heat Exchangers to Expand New Businesses
Mr. Worawat Pitayasiri, Senior Executive Vice President, Innovation and Digital, PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) (Center), Mr. Varit Namwong, Chief Operating Officer, Excellence Center at PTT Global Chemical Plc. (PTTGC), Mr. Pairoj Samuttananon (left) Managing Director, GC Maintenance & Engineering Limited (GCME) (Right) signed a license agreement for the production technology of micro flow channel heat exchangers. Microchannel Heat Exchanger can transfer the heat up to 33 per cent higher than conventional heat exchangers. Having high strength and safety, it is 70-90 percent smaller and thus able to be installed in a confined space. This innovation is a joint research between PTT and GC. In order to turn the research into real application, GCME will use the heat exchangers in industries such as petrochemicals, oil & gas, food and beverages, which will create added value for business operations, enhance production technology and contribute to a sustainable growth of country's economy.
