"Restart Thailand" by PTT Group Project Prepares to Hire Over 25,000 New Workers and Graduates to drive Thai economy and Social Development

   PTT Group supports the government’s "Restart Thailand" Project through a hiring program of more than 22,000 workers for business expansion and construction projects in 2021. We are ready to employ more than 2,630 graduates with diplomas and bachelor's degrees for 12 months through 3 social development projects, including promoting youth education, developing local communities and conservation of marine resources and research, green spaces nationwide. The program attests to our concern for society to fight COVID-19 as part of our effort to make the community smile through supporting online community sales channels. We are ready to work together with Thai people to move forward together. 

     Mr. Auttapol Rerkpiboon, President and  Chief Executive Officer, PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) revealed that PTT Group is ready to accelerate investment in every project in various businesses according to the plan to ensure continuous employment in the country, and 

prepare to hire more than 25,000 new workers and graduates between 2020 and 2021 under the program "Restart Thailand". The program will create jobs so that young people in all regions can earn money and gain job skills. In line with PTT Group's policy to strengthen local communities and the Thai economy, the projects of development of society and quality of life of Thai people to grow together, include: 

 

  • Hiring more than 22,000 workers through PTT Group network for business expansion and construction projects. Currently, 30,000 workers are employed through contractors in construction projects.   
  • Hiring 2,630 new graduates with Vocational diploma and Bachelor's Degree to provide income and opportunities to practice professional skills under a 12-month contract.
  • There are approximately 1,000 vacancies during 2020 and 2021 to be filled to drive business operations as planned.   

     As part of the hiring of new graduates to gain professional skills project in 2021, PTT Group will organize trainings to enhance the knowledge skills of the selected students before working in their domiciled areas through the local community social development project in 3 areas. 

     In the area of quality of education improvement, young people will be hired as assistant teachers 

to enhance the learning of common subjects in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, 

English and Information Technology 

     In the area of development of local community potential, the participants will be trained to have knowledge of technology and energy innovation for agriculture (SMART Farming) and smart marketing skills such as products through surveying and collecting information on the potential of the area and the readiness of the community. 

    In the area of environmental development to conserve marine resources, the participants will join the Ocean for Life Project by PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited. Various activities include construction of crab breeding centers, setting up a center for the conservation and breeding of sea turtles as well as activities to conserve natural resources and increase green space for the country through environmental development and research such as forestry and ecosystem research projects and development of household woodlot, etc. 

      In addition, Restart Thailand" has a program to promote inbound tourism by organizing off-site seminars for employees, customers, partners, employees, and partners because we intend to distribute the income for the country's economy. At present, we are creating the program for PTT and employees to boost tourism to help revive the country's economy. The program details will be further provided accordingly. 

     PTT Group would like to be another mechanism to support employment by offeringo help create opportunities, careers and increase income for Thai people. That will be an important part of driving the economy and strengthening communities and society so that we can get through this crisis together.
