PTT Hurriedly Assisted People Affected by Gas Leak (No.3)

        Mr. Chokchai Thanamethee, Executive Vice President, Natural Gas Transmission System, PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) explained that after the natural gas leak and a fire incident in Bang Bo District, Samut Prakan Province causing the gas Leak into the environment and a fire, today afternoon (October 22, 2020), PTT together with Samutprkakan Province established a coordination center to help people affected at Preng Rat Bamrung Temple. Samutprakan Governor assigned Mr. Chavalit Songkitti, Bang Bo District Chief as a chairman of the center. With the cooperation from the Preng Sub-district Administrative Organization, Provincial Police Division of Samutrakan Province and staff from the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, Samutprakan Province, the Center is providing food, drinking water and temporary accommodation during an urgent period to alleviate the suffering for those affected and facilitate the operation team.  We will take care of all medical expenses for the injured person and bereavement support for the family of the deceased 

        Regarding the impact on gas customers, PTT will supply gas to industrial customers in Lat Krabang Industrial Estate and Asia Industrial Estate Suvarnabhumi (AIES). In addition, PTT has coordinated with EGAT to supply additional gas to power plants in other areas to ensure continuity of electricity generation. However, there is a need to temporarily close one NGV service station - PTT, SV, Progressive branch. Repairing the station is underway so that the service can resume as soon as possible. The cause of the accident is still being investigated and the detail will be further updated accordingly.
