PTT Installs “NONG PIM”, Innovative PM 2.5 Measurement System in Industrial Areas and Main NGV Stations

  Mr. Wuttikorn Stithit, Senior Executive Vice President, Gas Business Unit, PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) disclosed that PTT is aware of the impact of PM 2.5 that may adversely affect public health. Therefore, it has continuously improved "NONG PIM", an air detector invented by PTT Institute of Innovation to be installed in industrial areas and major NGV stations to measure particulate matters - PM 2.5 - to monitor the air quality. The device transmits data via wireless networks and displays results in real time via the website and online application. 

  At present, besides the installation of “NONG PIM” at PTT headquarter and other offices, it has expanded to more than 20 key industrial areas and NGV stations in 9 provinces including Bangkok, Pathum Thani, Samutprakan, Chonburi, Rayong, Prachinburi, Saraburi, Ratchaburi and Kamphaeng Phet. 

  There will be at least 100 sites in the industrial area along the natural gas distribution pipeline to be equipped with NONG PIM in the future.
