PTT Unveils Covid-19 Prevention Measures in the Operation Area, Rayong Province

    Mr. Wuttikorn Stithit, Senior Executive Vice President, Gas Business Unit, PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) said that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the natural gas separation plants, PTT’s main operating unit in Rayong province, under the supervision of Mr. Somneuk Phangwapee, Executive Vice President, and Gas Separation is closely monitoring the situation PTT has established strict hygiene measures, cooperated and complied with government policies, while performing proactive surveillance to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infections of employees at the site. 
 
      In addition to implementing measures to reduce the number of employees by requiring only critical workers to work, PTT has been refraining employees from traveling across provinces since late December 2020. Concerned about its employees, it has launched strict measures including assigning all employees to report risks through the GSP Daily Check-in with Hmor Chana and setting lock-up measures by providing shuttle buses and accommodation to employees to reduce the chances of COVID-19 infection. PTT is using Online Permission System (e-Permitsystem) to screen and limit the number of third party working in the area, as well as to clearly define the control area and separate the operating area. It emphasizes that all employees follow personal hygiene habits, wash their hands, wear face masks, and practice physical distance between them to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection for the surrounding communities. PTT also continues to work with the community. Alcohol gels and face masks are constantly being offered to nearby hospitals and schools. 
   
    "PTT is ready to support and strictly follow the recommendations from the Ministry of Public Health in dealing with the pandemic to ensure that PTT employees and surrounding communities are safe from COVID-19 in the hope that the situation will be resolved soon," Mr. Wuttikorn said.
