Innobic (Asia) and IRPC Establish Innopolymed to Construct a Medical Device Plant to Strengthen Thai Public Health Security

  Ms. Amporn Charoensomsak, Managing Director of Innobic (Asia) Company Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) and Mr. Somkiat Lertritpuwadol, Executive Vice-President for Corporate Strategy, IRPC Public Company Limited signed a joint venture agreement to establish Innopolymed Company Limited to construct a non-woven fabric plant to manufacture melt blown formed fabrics by the third quarter of 2021 at IRPC Industrial Park in Rayong Province. Furthermore, the commercial production and distribution is scheduled in the fourth quarter of 2021. The project will support the target of Thailand 4.0 policy as it helps move Thailand towards becoming a full-service medical hub to improve the quality of life of Thai people and increase the economic growth.  

 
  Made from melt blown grade polypropolene (PP), this non-woven fabric manufactured by melt brown technology offers nanometer or micrometer fibers with high-quality filtration which are main raw materials for medical masks, N95 respirators and gowns. IRPC is the first company in Thailand that conducts the research and produces  melt blown grade PP.
