PTT Group Volunteers to Make Fabric Masks for the Elderly

   Mr. Chansin Treenuchagron, President and Chief Executive Officer, PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) disclosed that PTT by “Phlang Thai Jai Arsa Club (volunteer club), PTT Group” and “Power for Sustainable Future Foundation have held a campaign to make 3,000 fabric masks to be presented to 12 social welfare development centers, Department of Older Persons under the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security nationwide. They will help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 among the senior people who are vulnerable to the infection. 

  "The mask is made of muslin cloth, which is a fine, quick-dry, light fabric, having good ventilation, suitable for a mask for general people who do not have a medical condition especially the elderly. These kind of maskes can also alleviate the shortage of masks. Employees and volunteers can take home the materials and give the masks back by March 27, 2020 at PTT Head Office Building,” said Mr. Chansin. 

   This activity is another program to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. PTT has continued to organize various activities to help and fight COVID-19, such as the measures for employees to reduce the risk of overall infection and the assistance to the public in various fields, e.g. the cooperation with Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC) and Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital and other agencies in conducting the research on high efficiency COVID-19 test as well as the supply of alcohol to the Government Pharmaceutical Organization, blood donation to the Thai Red Cross Society and distribution of hand sanitizer gels at gas stations in Bangkok and suburbs.
