PTT Postpones the 2020 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders and Approved the Interim Dividend Payment to Control the COVID-19 Outbreak

  Today (March 30, 2020), Mr. Chansin Treenuchagron, President and Chief Executive Officer , PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) disclosed  the resolution of the special Board of Directors' meeting No. 1/2020 on March 26, 2020 which was in compliance with the state of emergency announcement to be implemented in all areas throughout the Kingdom on March 6, 2020 and the requirements issued in accordance with Section 9 of the Emergency Decree on Public Administration in Emergency Situations B.E. 2535 (2015) No. 1 as well as  Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Announcement on Temporary closure of premises (No. 4) on March 27, 2020 asking for cooperation to consider the need to organize activities with a large number of people which will pose a high risk of fast spread and infection to the general public. PTT which has closely monitored the pandemic, will therefore postpone the scheduled 2020 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on Friday, April 10, 2020 at Bangkok Convention Center, 5th Floor, Central Plaza Ladprao. 

 

  However, it still approved the interim dividend payment of the annual dividend payment on the Company's profit as of December 2019 at the rate of Baht 1.10 per share.  When combined with the already approved interim dividend payment for the first half of 2019 by the Board of Directors on September 27, 2019 at the rate of Baht 0.90 per share, the total dividend will be Baht 2.00 per share which is paid from the Company's profits for the year 2019. The Board of Directors will not offer dividend payment for the year 2019. Once the situation of COVID-19 has improved, the shareholders will be informed of the date, time and venue of the meeting again. PTT would like to apologize to all shareholders for the sudden postponement and unscheduled Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
