PTT Offers Dry Ice to the Royal Rain Department to Solve the Ongoing Drought

    Mr. Wisoot Ngoongam, Manager at Gas Separation and Community Affairs Department, Natural Gas Business Unit, PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) (right) as a representative from PTT presented 800 tons of dry ice worth Baht 6,400,000 (six million four hundred thousand baht) to Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives (2-R) at the "Opening Ceremony of the Royal Rainfall Operation to Fight Drought" at Nakhon Sawan Airport, Nakhon Sawan Province. The dry ice will support the operations of Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation to help drought victims nationwide. PTT has continuously supported dry ice since 1998. To date, more than 11,300 tons of dry ice, worth more than Baht 90.4 million were offered. The use of dry ice, a frozen form of carbon dioxide obtained from the process of separating natural gas, is useful for the environment and the nation.
